  Yvette Couty
When/why did you get involved with fitness and who are your role models?
I started in the fitness field since the late 1980’s. I always loved working out, and since I worked out everyday, I decided why not become an Aerobic Instructor and get compensated for it! I have taught at several Chicago land area health clubs, Hotels and YMCA’s. I have attempted to compete in Fitness Competition, but due to a back injury, I decided to compete in Figure. In 2001, I entered the NPC Figure Competition in Chicago and won 3rd place. My role models are Susan Curry, Monica Brandt and Cory Everson and of course I look up to all my training girls, Sue, Dawn, Morgan, and Jennifer.

How often do you train and what is your favorite and least favorite body part to train?
My training varies throughout the year. Since I do not compete very often I try to teach as frequently as I can and train at least 3 times a week. I love to train just about everybody part to the exception of legs.

What is your inspirational credo or motto, words to live by?
Beauty lies within the eye of the beholder.
