When/why
did you get involved with fitness and who are your
role models?
I wasn't getting the results I wanted running 6
miles a day and eating "healthy"… so I hired a personal
trainer and started to train for a figure competition.
In just 3 months, my body changed from skinny soft
to ripped and shredded. This was my inspiration
to teach others how to do the same. At age 25 I
started my own personal training company called
ABBS, Absolute Body By Shannon and I'm loving it!
My role models are my dad, mom, and Arnold…
How often do you train and what is your
favorite and least favorite body part to train?
I am on a training split of 3 days on and 1 day off, it's the perfect amount of recovery time for me and I try to do morning cardio 3-4 days a week. My favorite body part to train is legs; there is no better full body workout! Least favorite is abs. I usually work abs into the classes I teach so I don't have to do them in my lifting workouts.
What is your inspirational credo or motto,
words to live by?
To inspire my clients when they're tired and have one set left: "Last set Best set!" and of course, "Go big or go home!"
